December 14, 1993 Welcome! This program updates the following versions of CopyDoubler to CopyDoubler 2.0.3 Lite: • CopyDoubler™ 1.0 (AutoDoubler version) • CopyDoubler™ 1.0.1A (AutoDoubler version) • CopyDoubler™ 2.0 Lite • CopyDoubler™ 2.0.1 Lite • CopyDoubler™ 2.0.2 Lite This updater does not update CopyDoubler 1.0.1, the full version of CopyDoubler 2.0.x, any version of the CopyDoubler Demo. A separate updater called “CopyDoubler™ 2.0.3 Updater” is available for the full version of CopyDoubler 2.0. Users of CopyDoubler 1.0.1 (the standalone version not shipped with AutoDoubler) should contact Fifth Generation Systems about upgrading to the full version of CopyDoubler 2.0.3. This program will automatically update the installed copy if it can be located. To update a specific copy of CopyDoubler Lite, hold down the Option key while clicking the "Update" button. If you are updating the installed version (the default), you must restart your Macintosh after the update process is finished for the changes to take effect. CopyDoubler 1.0 and 1.0.1A users: CopyDoubler 2.0.3 Lite is very similiar to CopyDoubler 1.0.x, with the additional ability of compressing files as they are copied. To use this feature, hold down the Control key (Shift for Mac Plus users) while invoking a copy to bring up an options dialog, where compression and other one-time options can be set. CopyDoubler 2.0.3 Lite Changes: • Changed copyrights to reflect Symantec Corporation. • Changed Balloon help references to AutoDoubler and AutoDoubler Smaller compression methods to reflect name change in DiskDoubler 4.0. • PowerTalk enclosure files which are put in the Trash are now deleted properly. Note that when they are in the Trash, CopyDoubler will let the Finder handle the emptying of the Trash. • Fixed a bug which would produce an "Out of Memory" error message when doing extremely large copies (generally greater than 1GB of files). • Fixed a bug which would keep trying to shut down the Mac after every copy operation if a user-invoked Shutdown was previously canceled. • Fixed a bug which would cause a crash when viewing the Scheduled Copy list the if the list contained any items other than disks or folders. • Fixed a conflict with UnderWare™ when operating in 24-bit memory mode. • Fixed a bug where a folder could sometimes be copied into one of it's subfolders, producing a never-ending copy. • Fixed a bug where a folder could be "replaced" by a contained item.
